Metro Vancouver Housing Corporation is a not-for-profit organization that provides affordable rental housing for low- and middle- income households in Metro Vancouver. Some of their older complexes needed some TLC so Blast Radius and Academy spent an afternoon to help. Some of the activities included setting up a community garden, cleaning a playground area, and re-painting fences.

We had a great time working together outside in the sun and were rewarded when the children came out to play on their freshly cleaned playground.

It felt good to give.

We’ve installed two public facing LCDs that are connected to web-cams in our office front. They display graphics that respond to passersby, attracting them like a moth to a flame. They also display tweets if you mention @weareacademy.
