Junior Graphic Designer

Position Objective

You become a part of a creative studio; an academy comprised of an international group of professionals. Our mission is to unite respectful brands with original expression. Responsibilities

• Translate creative direction into compelling visual designs
• Combine design, usability, and execution and create intuitive experiential mixed media environments
• Design using Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and similar software packages. Fluency with CS5
• Produce designs that demonstrate an understanding of the needs
• On occasion work with clients or other designers to explain design concepts and manage design feedback
• Apply your skills of graphic design, typography and illustration when working on projects
• Work within project schedules and deadlines
• Provide feedback and constructive criticism to other designers to assist in skills development
• Act as company advocate and embody the Academy values: people, passion, creativity, fun and excellence
• Diffuse problems and put forward solutions that are in the best interest of the company and employees
• Participate in ongoing special projects in support of the Academy mission
• Such duties as may be agreed upon between the Company and the Employee

Required Skills and Experience

• A portfolio of your best design work
• Strong understanding of requisite design software
• Experience applying theories related to color schemes, use of space, text placement, usability and visual flow
• Practical understanding of HTML and Flash
• Understands and is able to create content specification and design guidelines
• Strong communication and problem solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
